Had an amazing time with friends exploring the archery range and enjoying our festive night! The atmosphere was cozy, the staff were friendly, and we loved the spacious luxury double room we stayed in. Don't miss the delicious breakfast and excellent ale choices!
The only downside was the shower pressure, which was pretty disappointing and didn't really help after a long day out.

The location lies near a quiet pub setting with a rustic charm, perfect for unwinding after exploring the countryside. The bar area features big roaring fires, providing a cozy atmosphere to relax and enjoy.
A few notable details left something to be desired. The Classic Double Room had a noticeable smell of damp, and there was black mold lurking behind the curtain pelmet. Furniture across the hotel showed signs of wear, with chipped surfaces, and the bathroom felt particularly outdated with marked surfaces and mildew around the edges. Room rates appeared steep for the condition, given it’s not exactly close to the heart of the Lakes. Parking incurred an extra charge, which felt like a bit of a surprise after shelling out for the room and meals. the evening meal's service had some hiccups, leading to a wait for orders that dampened the experience.

A good pick for a brief stopover in Bowness-on-Windermere with good value for cost. The alternative afternoon tea was tasty, despite a mix-up with drinks.

Great location and fab food!
Loved the location! Great for taking walks right from the door. The reception staff were super friendly and the steak we had for dinner was honestly one of the best I've ever tasted. Really nice bar area too. Only issue was breakfast was a bit lukewarm. a solid stay.

the restaurant area was lovely, making it a perfect spot to relax after our walks, and we were so pleased to find it was just under 2 km to the World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, which was a delightful day out.

The location was picturesque, perfect for walks with our two border collies, though room space was tight with them. The breakfast was spectacular, unmatched in quality, and the staff was consistently accommodating. Unfortunately, the Sunday lunch was a letdown, with lukewarm vegetables and poorly prepared roast potatoes. Despite this, the staff's friendliness stood out throughout our stay.

Charming Getaway with Great Potential!
Our two-night stay was cozy yet bittersweet. The vibrant bar atmosphere added warmth, while our morning Cumbrian Grill offered delightful flavors, albeit a bit lukewarm. Tip, secure dining reservations early to avoid disappointment and enjoy all the property’s unique offerings!

The room was spacious and provided a relaxing atmosphere, enhanced by super comfortable bedding. Staff showed outstanding attention to detail, creating a welcoming experience. the dining experience fell short. the dinner felt pricey and the breakfast, while inventive, didn’t live up to expectations due to poor quality. the weather prevented outdoor relaxation on the balcony, a missed opportunity given the beautiful surroundings.

I recently had a lovely two-night stay here. The feature double room was cozy, but we had only minimal space with our two border collies. The breakfast was absolutely the best I've ever had, and I have to say the desserts were fantastic too!
